Donation Schedule

Donation Location

We gratefully accept donations on the 1st–14th of every month.

We pause receiving donations on the 15th through the end of the month to give our volunteers time to sort, organize and restock the Closet.

If you have a high-need or urgent item and are unable to hold it, please message us, exceptions may be possible.

Donations may be placed on the designated shelves at the top of the stairs 24/7 during donation dates.

We accept new and gently-used items in clean, safe condition for children ages newborn through teen sizes.

Common high-need items include:

  • Clothing, shoes, pajamas and socks

  • Diapers, wipes and hygiene items

  • Bedding and blankets

  • Books, puzzles and toys

  • Baby formula and baby food

  • Baby gear

Guidelines for Specific Items

  • Do not drop off cribs at the closet

    • All hardware/parts must be included

    • Cribs should be disassembled for ease of storage and transport

    • Email pictures of the crib and any known issues/damages to nicole@offcloset.org to see if it meets our needs

    • If acceptable, appointments must be made to drop off the crib at our storage

  • Do not drop off at the closet

    • Mattresses must be stain-free and in good usable condition

    • Email pictures of the items and any known damage/issues to nicole@offcloset.org to see if it meets our needs

    • If acceptable, appointments must be made to drop off at our storage

    • All hardware/parts must be included

    Item description

    • At least 1 full year from expiration date

    • Must be accident-free

    • Clean and ready to use

    • All parts and pieces (including newborn inserts) should be included

    • May be dropped off on the shelves at the top of the stairs

    • Ensure all parts are included (balls, cars, figurines, remote controls, batteries, etc.) and secured together

    • Good, clean, and ready to use condition

    • Smaller items may be dropped off on the shelves at the top of the stairs or posted on our Facebook group

    • Larger items (bikes, outdoor toys, doll houses, kitchens, etc.) should be offered on our Facebook group. Do not drop off larger toys.

    • Stain-free, clean, and ready to use

    • No rips, tears, etc. unless part of the design

    • Not personalized with names/initials

    • Not of specific schools, camps, etc.

    • May be dropped off on the shelves at the top of the stairs or posted on our Facebook group

  • To ensure safety, dignity, and quality for the families we serve, we are unable to accept:

    • Used underwear or socks (unless new and in original packaging)

    • Recalled, expired, or damaged baby gear, including car seats

    • Items with mold, strong odors, smoke residue, or pest damage

    • Broken, incomplete, or unsafe items

    • Used mattresses or bedding that is stained or damaged

    • Furniture or large items without prior approval

    • Adult clothing or accessories not appropriate or would be worn by teens

    • Opened hygiene or personal care products

    • Anything not in clean, gently used, or ready-to-use condition
